Jane McIntosh

“AWF provides the opportunity for disadvantaged communities to make a tangible change... that will make a long-term, positive impact on their livelihoods. We work with communities who approach us for support in overcoming their infrastructure problems. The project is always led by the community, for the community.”

Jane is the Coordinator at Architects Without Frontiers, where she works to expand AWF’s impact in disadvantaged communities in Australia and abroad. With a background in design and social sciences, she has worked across a diverse range of organisations in community development, architecture, social advocacy, state government, child protection, and aviation. This led her to a Master of Business Administration in Community and International Development. In the last seven years, Jane has worked extensively with Indigenous communities to actualise architectural builds in the Kimberley and community development projects in remote communities in the Northern Territory.
