Summary: Masterplanning workshop undertaken in Sydney Feb 2008. Construction needs to be staged according to available finances. It is intended to build the student accommodation this year, and the remaining facilities next year. The school serves mostly nomadic and poor Tibetan families. The students live and study at the school, without charge, and are provided with food, clothing, and educational supplies. The Chinese government has provided land with some existing buildings that may be utilised, the Nangqian Tibetan foundation donated clothing for the students, 100 yaks, and ongoing support; Lonely Planet have generously pledged some financial support. Currently there is a target of $100,000 that needs to be raised in oder to provide the much needed facilities. Financial support is required for this project to proceed.
